The Church of Scotland has no fixed policy on Re-marriage.
It leaves individual Ministers to act according to conscience and belief.
I have no reservations about marrying divorced persons.
All marriages in Scotland must conform to Scottish Law. This requires couples to contact the Registrar of the District in which the marriage is to be celebrated (up to eight weeks but no less than four weeks prior to the date of the Ceremony) The Registrar will inform you of all documents, details, residence requirements etc. After satisfactory Publication of your Intention to Marry you will be issued with a Schedule of Marriage.
The Groom or Best man should bring it to the Service.
The Minister must have that document before the Service can begin.
After it has been duly signed at the conclusion of the Service it must be returned to the issuing Registrar within three days.
Ministers are licensed to perform Religious but not Civil Ceremonies. The Order of Service is flexible provided the marriage vows are taken before God and duly witnessed.
I shall be more than delighted to perform the marriage ceremony and give God's Blessing on your new life together.
